On November 20 to 21 2010, Hellas Jeep Club organized its 6th annual Jeep Jamboree, where a team of 40 Jeeps from cities all over Greece could meet at Grevena. The participants had the opportunity to stay in a traditional hotel close to the Vasilitsa mountain, well known for its skiing facilities.

The first team went straight up the road taking us to the top of mountain. It was full of mud and the driving was quite hard, but our Jeeps didn't stop. The second team went straight through the river, where there also was a lot of mud, and many river passes on the menu for the next 3 hours. In this second team, only 10 Jeeps were brave enough follow the hard trail but still they had a lot of fun!

After a morning full of excitement and Jeep-style fun, we reached the top of the mountain at around 14:00 and we offered all participants some time for a coffee break.

After the small break, the 2nd hard-off-road crew continued the fun by doing the same road backwards. As you can see in the pictures, this was very demanding and a lot of fun for all. Participants who didn't follow this drive back down, had the opportunity to drive around and have a coffee at the village.

For Saturday night, we had our dinner with Greek music, and we had a very nice moment. Next morning we had to drive through a special trail with different types of difficulties close to the river. This was rather easy, except for the parts where we had to drive close to the river or over the grass covered hills.

Around 14:00, we ended our Jamboree, and all Jeepers were very enthusiastic to come back to this meeting next year. Next year, our 7th JEEP JAMBOREE will be held in south Greece in Peloponnesus, Kalavrita. For details, we will keep you informed!
