From the 26th to the 29th of October 2011, Hellas Jeep Club organized it's 7th annual Jeep Jamboree meeting. The event took place this year in the Kalavrita region in Southern Greece.

The participants had the opportunity to visit many very interesting places in the area, such as the church where in 1821 the Greece revolution against the Ottoman empire started, (http://www.visitgreece.gr/en/religion/religious_sites/monastery_of_agia_l%C3%A1vra ), the Aristarchos telescope (http://www.astro.noa.gr/helmos/) and the only Greek rack railway (http://www.odontotos.com/).

On the first day, Saturday, a nice off-road track was laid out and participants had to drive from Kalavrita to Lake Tsilfou, through forests, over muddy roads and with some very beautiful sightseeing places along the way. The trip started from the vilage and went up to 2100m. A lot of mud and many river crossings were on the menu for the next 6 hours, and the coffe break in bewteen was most welcome! Saturday evening, we closed the day with a dinner with Greek music.

The next Sunday morning brought us once again a special trail with different types of difficulties close to the river. Nothing difficult for our Jeeps, hoewever! Around 14:00, we closed the event, and made rendez-vous for next year's event, which will will be held in the Vigin forest in the prefecture of Drama.
