Jeep Club Latvia - think and act green. Eco event - April 24,2010. Latvia - Lilaste!

The main hint of "Large Spring Bee 2010" was diversity. This year, the Large Spring Bee people were encouraged not only to collect garbage but also to accomplish other great things - plant trees, create amazing flower beds, make bird cages, renovate wood fences, benches, bridges ...

Jeep Club Latvija took part in a cleaning up of the surroundings of the Lilaste lake. Short summay: we were 11 teams, consisting of 23 Jeepers and a Jeep Dog, and we collected about 400 large 100 liter bags of garbage. We were actually quite lucky with the weather too: we only had minimal rain, and we even had some sunshine from time to time. 

We do not have a lot of pictures, because of the intensive work effort, but at least, we can offer you the impressions below:

 Huge thanks to everybody who joined us in cleaning the Lilaste lake surroundings.
