It gives us a great pleasure to invite you to witness the London to Cape Town 2012 World Cup Rally as it passes through Egypt on the 8th & 9th of January 2012, with 14 countries, 29 days and over 14,000 km to cover. Countries include Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia, and South Africa.

The London to Cape Town 2012 World Cup rally is considered to be the first of its kind, to cross Africa from its Northern tip on the Mediterranean Sea, till the Southern-most point at the Cape of Good Hope, in Cape Town, South Africa. Driving in Hatchbacks, classic pre 1984 cars and 4x4s, The London to Cape Town World Cup Rally also hopes to benefit major causes & help improve the lives of locals living along the route the rally will travel through. With over 100 participants from 15 different nations, Egypt will surely add one of the most thrilling, picturesque and challenging legs of the Rally. Organizing the 2012 World Cup Rally is the British Endurance Rally Association in cooperation with the Egyptian tourism company Dabuka Expeditions backed by the support of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, the Egyptian Tourism Authority and the Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt.

It is the first time for the World Cup Rally to pass through Egypt, making this version of the world cup rally a more special occasion with 2 Jeep Wranglers are competing . One driven by an American team and the other by a Swiss team, and in keeping with Jeep Club Egypt’s support to those 2 brave teams.
A support team from Jeep Club Egypt will be on command and on route, to provide maintenance and spares to those Wranglers if needed, as they venture through Egypt.
